Following the warm reception of the first edition of Plantes pour tous in Madrid last September, the most famous plant market in France returns to the capital as part of its European tour with an endless variety for less than one euro, a wide catalog for under 10 euros, and large plants for 19.95 euros.
The event will take place from November 7 to 9, 2025 at Espacio 23, on General Oraá Street, 23, in the heart of the Salamanca district, after stopping in Barcelona on October 26, 27 and 28 (Espacio 88, on Pamplona Street). Admission is free, but the organizers recommend booking in advance to enjoy the tour at a leisurely pace, among ferns, monstera and succulents you won’t be able to resist. Payment is only by card, and it is ‘pet friendly’.
What you can find at the Madrid plant market
On its tables and shelves there will be more than 150 different species, from beautiful indestructible houseplants to enormous tropical varieties that will add an exotic touch to any corner. Handmade pots, planters, ‘made-in-France’ substrates and accessories for those looking to take a step further in their small home garden will also be available. Prices, affordable and accessible, start at 0.99 euros, and the organizers assure that more than half of the offering is under 10 euros.
During the three days of Plantes pour tous, experts will be available to advise visitors on which plant varieties are most recommended for their needs. And in addition to the QR codes you will find on-site for guidance, we have classified our plants according to their level and characteristics: beginner-friendly plants, hardy plants, shade-loving plants for rooms with little light, or, conversely, plants for bright rooms, according to the organizers.
And they give us a tip that we can apply not only if we attend this plant market, but in everyday life at home: “Don’t choose your plant only for its aesthetics, but also and especially based on your level and your environment. If you are a beginner, opt for beginner-friendly plants or hardy plants, and if you have a room with little light, choose shade-loving plants!”
The benefits of having plants at home
If you are a regular reader of this section, you’ll know that having plants at home is much more than a fashion or an aesthetic choice: it is a way to create well-being in our home. Their presence purifies the air, regulates humidity, and brings freshness to enclosed environments. Green leaves invite calm and reduce stress, and flowers bring that beauty so necessary in our daily lives. Additionally, caring for them is almost a form of everyday meditation: a reminder that good things require attention, consistency, and affection.
From an emotional perspective, plants give us back something we sometimes forget: the pleasure of watching something grow at its own pace. They are small teachers of patience and discreet beauty. Watering them, cleaning them, watching them bloom or sprout again connects us with a simple routine that comforts us and invites us to pause amid the noise and speed of the city.
In decoration, of course, plants are an unbeatable resource. They transform spaces effortlessly, adding texture, depth, and color. A hanging ivy softens a shelf, a sansevieria adds verticality, a monstera becomes the visual centerpiece of the living room. Integrating them into the home is to dress it with life: a gesture that balances aesthetics with emotion.
Each plant has its own character and energy. Some are exuberant, minimalist, mysterious, or cheerful, but all share one quality: they convey harmony. Their mere presence changes the perception of space and time. That is why choosing a plant is almost like choosing a travel companion for the home, one that grows with you and quietly accompanies you in your daily life.
