What women like Queen Letizia, Kate Middleton, or Caroline of Monaco wear is, without a doubt, one of the topics that generates the most controversy. And the royal wardrobe is not only a constant source of inspiration for those seeking to bring out their most elegant side, but also a a topic that sparks debate and about which many dare to voice their opinions.

The value of each garment is analyzed, whether it suits them or not, whether it is appropriate for the occasion or even whether it hides some symbolic message. The looks of the royals are very interesting, but they also become a focus of criticism, especially when it comes to the figures reached by the prices of some of their garments.

And as with everything related to royalty, their wardrobes are not lacking unattainable luxury pieces for the rest of mortals, which become objects of desire, but also generate negative comments due to their level of ostentation. And we are not only talking about the historic jewels handed down from generation to generation, but also the garments they debut each year that represent a significant financial investment that many consider unnecessary.

Around this matter, a ranking is prepared each year listing how much money the world’s royals invest in clothing. It is a list created by UFO No More (Unidentified Fashion Object), the specialized portal that analyzes, identifies, and quantifies every garment worn by the women of royalty. Not only do they detail the brand and model of each piece, but they also calculate the total annual expenditure on wardrobe.

This year, the list has changed completely compared to 2024. The reason? An unexpected royal has climbed to the top position, taking the spot away from Charlène of Monaco. We are talking about Olympia of Greece, daughter of Pavlos and Marie-Chantal, who in recent months has become one of the most prominent figures on the international royal scene.

That said, she has not done so by playing a significant role in official acts, but through social networks. The Greek royal family currently has no political or institutional role in the country; they maintain ties to culture and history and act as private figures with connections to other European royal houses. Therefore, Olympia, despite being the daughter of the head of the Greek royal house, does not perform a monarchical role comparable to Amalia of the Netherlands, Princess Leonor, or Elisabeth of Belgium.

A wardrobe worth 247,000 euros

They have nothing to do with each other. Olympia has an Instagram profile, collaborates with brands, participates in fashion editorials, graces magazine covers, and attends parties and events, leading a public life very similar to that of any young person her age. So much so that she has become one of those royals who take advantage of their media exposure to build their own public image.

Like Alexandra of Hanover, Marie-Chantal’s daughter has opted for visibility, fashion, and content creation. She accumulates more than 300,000 followers on social networks, where her passion for the fashion industry is clearly reflected. She does not hesitate to show her followers the details of the luxury outfits she wears both on special occasions and in everyday life.

And yes, in all of them the luxury mark is always present. A detail that helps to understand why Olympia of Greece has become the royal who has spent the most money on clothing this 2025. Apparently, between January and December she debuted 79 pieces, of which only five remain unidentified. And, according to the aforementioned portal, the value of her wardrobe has risen to a total of almost 247 thousand euros.

Thus, the 29-year-old Greek princess would have spent an average of almost 3,500 euros per outfit, the highest on the entire list. She therefore leads a ranking that has not gone unnoticed and that once again brings to the table the eternal debate about fashion, royalty, and spending.
