The holistic well-being returns to come together with WeLife Festival 2026. On the upcoming October 24, 2026, the emblematic Real Teatro Retiro (Madrid) will open its doors to host the sixth edition of this reference event that brings together the leading experts, communicators and professionals in Spain.
With a carefully curated lineup of speakers, the festival will offer a day of conferences, practical classes and key tools to transform our lifestyle from a rigorous, approachable and holistic perspective.
The success of the previous edition, with speakers such as Toni Nadal, Emilio Duró or Sari Arponen and almost a thousand attendees, demonstrated that truthful information —in a world of information overload— is valued more than ever. Therefore, we can do nothing but strive to surpass ourselves with another new gathering, in this sixth edition of WeLife Festival 2026, which includes a prestigious lineup of experts and a multitude of activities.
A Saturday to Celebrate Well-being
Organized by WeLife and Vocento —with the sponsorship of Cupper, El Granero, Flavia, Intimina, Lepas, L’Oréal, Petit Bambou and Tourism of Malta, and the collaboration of Alma Secret, Komvida, Linwoods, Macami and Suprey—, the gathering on Saturday, October 24, will feature two main stages: The Expert Room, the auditorium for talks, and The Mind&Body Studio, a tranquil space for practical sessions of yoga, conscious breathing and other activities to reconnect with our bodies.
Not forgetting The Partners Lounge, the meeting point with sponsors and exhibitors where attendees will be able to participate in various experiences, workshops, exercises, raffles and much more.
Motivation and Life Purpose
That is the most important: the engine that drives us to get up and face the day. But in uncertain times, sustaining it can be difficult. We are talking about purpose, the same one that experts already include among the foundational pillars of longevity, alongside nutrition, sleep and exercise. Cristóbal Amo, author, speaker and expert in wealth mindset and high performance, will open the day with this reflection in the form of a talk.
“First comes the transformation, feeling good, and, then, the results,” the speaker states on his Instagram profile (@cristobal.amo.martin), which gathers almost 3 million followers. Amo will talk to us about emotions, yes, including those we associate with conflicts, because, as he asserts, “we are projecting our shadow onto others continuously, and since we do not recognize this, we fight and get angry with other people and situations throughout our lives, without realizing that we are fighting and getting angry with ourselves.”
He is not the only one who will focus on emotional management. In a fast-paced world, knowing how to manage stress, connect with our purpose and care for the mind is indispensable. Therefore, under the motto ‘Stop berating yourself; accept it and free yourself’, the psychologist and communicator Lorena Gascón will contribute fundamental keys for emotional balance, and Belén Colomina, psychologist, psychotherapist and mindfulness expert —within the practical exercises that will be carried out at WeLife Festival— will guide us with her meditation workshop ‘Mental Load: think less, live more’.
Giving Up Is Not an Option
The destiny is capricious, but in the face of its rules, the determination of the human being remains. For example, Cisco García. The then-lawyer suffered a serious snowboard accident that damaged his spinal cord. He decided that he would not let an obstacle sink him. He swapped snow for tennis and trained until he became one of the best wheelchair tennis players in the country.
“You never know how strong you are until being strong is your only option,” the speaker explains in his book ‘Unbreakable’ (Alienta). It will be one of the highlights in the realm of resilience, personal growth and determination at WeLife Festival.
Science and Healthy Longevity
As researcher Manel Esteller already said in the previous edition of WeLife Longevity: “The person who will live to 120 has already been born.” It is a fact: we are living longer. And not everything that happens to us is written in our genes. “Science continues to study what María Branyas did to reach 117 years with admirable health. We know that there were some genes that favored it, but above all, it was her lifestyle habits.” the researcher noted in that Madrid gathering.
This will be one of the major challenges analyzed by experts who explore the biomedical and epigenetic bases, because, as the head of the Epigenetics Group at the Sant Pau Research Institute writes in his book No soy mi ADN: En busca de las huellas de la salud y la enfermedad (Ed. RBA): “We are born with a deck of genetic cards, but the way we play them throughout life depends on us”.
Along with Esteller, José Manuel Soria, director of the Genomics Unit for Complex Diseases at the Hospital de Sant Pau and scientific director of BASE4 Biosciences, and Beatriz Crespo, doctor in Medicine and Sports Performance and creator of the Microhábitos Saludables, will form the roundtable under the name ‘Is our future written? What genes do not decide’.
Our Health Is Not a Bluff
Meanwhile, José Luis Trejo, CSIC scientific researcher and head of the Lifestyle and Cognition Group at the Cajal Institute, will delve into the importance of an active brain for healthy longevity, because that deck of cards will have all the aces if we maintain mental agility and our game strategy intact.
And, in this card game that is life, anticipating the unexpected is key. Anticipation is a skill that is learned and, as Aurelio Rojas, a cardiologist and renowned health communicator at the Regional University Hospital of Málaga with more than one and a half million followers on Instagram (@doctorrojass), says: “How beautiful it is to love with the heart and how little we take care of it. I don’t want to see you here, at the hospital,” the cardiologist jokes.
And to avoid seeing us, at least as patients, Dr. Rojas will focus on those daily habits that prevent more than one visit to the doctor.
Microbiota and Nutrition: the Ace Up Our Sleeve
“Many of the discomforts we consider ‘normal’ — such as bloating, migraines, fatigue or mood swings — are not normal at all,” explains Xevi Verdaguer, psychoneuroimmunologist, nutritionist and physiotherapist. “They are SOS signals from our gut and our hormones,” he states in his book Transform Your Health: The Key Lies in Gut Bacteria and Hormones (Ed. Grijalbo).
Being able to read those signals from our body can also be very useful. And here lies the transformative power of nutrition, which is not simply about counting calories, but about an integral approach centered on the microbiota, metabolic health and immune prevention. Therefore Verdaguer will discuss the mouth-to-gut interaction and its relation to longevity.
In this sense, Marta Marcè, nutritionist, naturopath and communicator specializing in menopause and hormonal health, will focus on menopause-specific nutrition; and María Hernández-Alcalá and Elena Pérez, biochemists and creators of the acclaimed Futurlife21 project, will give us the keys to improving our life through the plate. “We must dispel the myth of eating only to look good on the outside. Eating well is linked to health, feeling well, having more enthusiasm to do things, a better mood, better digestion…”, they affirm, a mother and daughter duo.
Women’s Health and Menopause
‘What they don’t tell you in the consultation: the invisible axis between your hormones, your microbiota and the vagus nerve’ is the title of the talk by Sara Marín, medical expert in microbiota and women’s health. Through her Instagram community (@uncafecontudoctora) —with nearly two million followers—, she translates medical knowledge, which is not always easy to understand, into approachable and friendly language that all her followers can understand and apply to daily life. And that is precisely what we will be able to see at WeLife Festival 2026.
Breaking taboos and empowering women through up-to-date information, without minced words, is the goal of experts Natividad Cano, dermatologist and medical director of Instituto Natividad Cano; Minerva Piquero, journalist and author of the book ‘How to Survive Menopause and Feel Powerful’; and Marta Masi, pharmacist and cofounder of El Club de la Menopausia, who will lead the roundtable ‘The generation reinventing age: why today’s women are changing the rules of aging?’.
Meanwhile, Marimer Pérez, gynecologist, obstetrician and founder of WoMer Center, will give a talk on ‘Menopause: many questions, too many answers. Which ones do we keep?’ and Lola Ibáñez, pelvic floor physiotherapist, will lead the workshop ‘Menopause, abdomen and pelvic floor: the forgotten axis’.
Movement and Physical Well-being
Through functional training, injury prevention, and postural health, Toni Pérez, physiotherapist, creator of content with more than one million followers (@fisioteduca) and author of the book ‘Don’t Get Injured Again’, will teach us how to build a strong and resilient body through the lecture ‘Learn to Move; Avoid Discomforts and Injuries’.
Practically, Afonso Coelho, personal trainer at Piko Studios, will do it through the workshop ‘Morning Glow. Combination of mobility and strength to activate circulation’; and Andrea Fresneda, professional esthetician, trainer and creator of the NeuroVagal Glow method, will lead the practical workshop ‘Nervio Vago Glow’.
Additionally, Almudena Morell, personal trainer and specialist in hypopressive gymnastics and women’s training, will lead the workshop ‘Hypopressives to relieve abdominal inflammation’. What will it consist of? Working, through postural guidelines and conscious, precise breathing, on toning the deep muscular fascia and pelvic floor safely, achieving a more functional, less inflamed and lighter abdomen.
Strength and Flexibility
Georgina Grimshaw, trainer and Pilates instructor, with her workshop ‘Power Pilates: Strength and flexibility for the abdomen, glutes and legs’ will teach us how this controlled training system tones the muscles and how the power variant includes strength exercises through which we will feel how we strengthen the abdomen, glutes and legs while gaining flexibility.
Through ‘Yoguilates: yoga with Pilates to the rhythm of music’, Paula Butragueño, fitness, yoga and mindfulness instructor, and creator of the PHI method, will fuse the best benefits of both worlds: the flexibility and mental balance of yoga, and the strength, stability and body control of Pilates.
The yoga instructor for more than 15 years, certified at the prestigious LightHouse Yoga School and a teacher at Hot Yoga Madrid, Mariana Garay will give us a tech-yoga class. Here, very fluid yoga sequences blend with electronic music. Get your body ready for a very fun session!
The Importance of Learning to Pause
Making a conscious pause in daily routine allows us to reconnect with presence and recharge energy through the body and breath. Who helps us with that? Mercedes de la Rosa, yoga and meditation teacher, CEO and cofounder of Zentro Urban Yoga, who with her class ‘Vinyasa Yoga: reconnect with your energy and serenity’ will help us connect. How? On one hand, with our strength and vitality, and on the other, with the calm and serenity inside each of us.
E.V.E Puértolas, breathwork expert, immersive experiences and founder of Una Vida Coach, will teach us to recharge and breathe; Paula Butragueño, fitness, yoga and mindfulness instructor, and creator of the PHI method.
What are their conclusions? You will have to come to know them.
