Las Berrocal are four diverse and genuine women who share an indestructible bond, woven by a surprising family history. Led by designer, businesswoman and podcaster Vicky Martín Berrocal, their daily life jumped to the small screen in the form of a generational docu-reality. Then we saw Vicky as the engine of the clan, at the sweetest moment of her career and with a new challenge: returning to flamenco fashion after ten years away from it.

As Vicky herself told us before the premiere of Las Berrocal, on screen we see them as they really are—the four of them. “We didn’t need to do this, and the condition I set was that we would do it if our essence, our truth, our courage, our desires, our passion, our drive and our story truly were not lost,” said the founder of the Victoria brand in MujerHoy.

And its warm reception has led them back for a second season, newly released on Movistar Plus. Alongside her sister Rocío, her daughter Alba and her mother Victoria, Vicky Martín Berrocal continues not to want to emulate the Pombo or the Kardashians, but it’s impossible not to find similarities with other television clans. The Andalusian woman, however, defended the family’s distinctive DNA during the presentation of the second season of at the FesTVal in Vitoria.

«I still get emotional sharing this journey with the women I love. It not only speaks of us, of our family, but it speaks to millions of women who identify with us,» the designer said at the press conference. «We are not a perfect family, but we are tremendously authentic and true, and that is what comes through on screen,» she added, proud of her work and of the most important people in her life.

The New Adventures of the Berrocal

In the second season of the reality, six episodes long, Vicky faces major changes and continues to lead a very busy professional life, which will trigger a few conflicts with her family. Her daughter Alba takes the step of buying her own home to become independent with her boyfriend, musician and producer Marco Terrones, known professionally as Oddliquor, and to keep building her personal and professional project.

For her part, her sister Rocío enters a new phase where public visibility and professional challenges live alongside a more intimate challenge: facing and overcoming her own fears. And her mother, Victoria, continues with her desire to live and to care for the women in her life, from whom she will receive more than one pleasant surprise. But in the end, they always stay together, for better and for worse, showing themselves as they are.

«We go out barefaced, in pajamas, in sweats. You can’t be at home makeup’d up as if you were going somewhere.» I like to present myself as I am; it’s wonderful», commented Vicky Martín Berrocal during the presentation of the reality show. «There is a lot of fashion, a lot of partying, the celebration of my mother’s 79th birthday, which was very moving, my 53rd birthday, a lot of emotion because Alba is moving out and fulfilling her dream… There is a lot of intimacy, passion… and a few disagreements».

Vicky Martín Berrocal, Much More Than Fashion

The debut of Las Berrocal’s Season 2 coincides with a great professional and personal moment for the designer. In March she celebrated the tenth anniversary of her fashion brand, Victoria, and she has extended her empire in numerous directions, and with good results. With her award-winning podcast, her hugely popular social networks and her family reality show, Vicky is increasingly cementing her position as a 360-degree entrepreneur.

Love also smiles on her life, as she admitted in Vitoria. «I am at a very beautiful moment in my life that I did not expect. I have nothing to hide, because I haven’t done so in my whole life», she stated regarding her discreet relationship with the Málaga-based businessman Javier Cabrera. And prepare yourselves, because her television adventures are not over yet: «I already have even the content for the third one; things happen all the time in our life and they must be told».
