If the Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were hoping to reappear discreetly now that they are living back in the United Kingdom, King Charles has just drawn a red line for them. The British monarch has ruled out any possibility that the couple will return to the fold as active members of the monarchy. He did so in a letter in which he is firm about his wishes regarding the Sussexes’ plans, two weeks after their move from California.
To «help avoid doubts or confusion», Harry and Meghan «are no longer active members of the Royal Family», stated Charles III through the lord chamberlain, the highest-ranking official and head of the British Royal Household. Therefore, there will be «no change in the couple’s current status» and their titles of HRH «will be suspended» and cannot be used. The letter emphasizes something that was already common knowledge: that from now on both will be «private citizens with commercial and charitable interests».
And it is precisely addressing one of these two fields where Harry has been seen for the first time since his discreet return home. The Duke of Sussex spent almost an entire day working on an unrevealed project at a well-known production studio in London. It was Tower Bridge Studios’ social media accounts, a hub for video and podcast recording in the capital, that revealed his presence.
On its Instagram account, the London studio shared photos of Harry signing on its wall of fame, where he joined other recent guests such as actress Helen Mirren. «¡Gracias, príncipe Harry, por elegir Tower Bridge Studios!», wrote them in the caption. «It has been a real pleasure having you at our studios and signing on our wall. We look forward to welcoming you back.» Interestingly, a few hours after posting, the post disappeared from their social networks.
Harry and His Mysterious Return to Work
«He was very, very friendly with everyone», a source at the studio told People magazine. «And he loved signing on our wall of fame. Everything took place in a very relaxed atmosphere.». What has not yet been revealed is the nature of the project Harry is working on. Tower Bridge Studios has closed sets that production companies privately reserve for audio and video recordings.

Pese al mystery that surrounds this first work attempt for Harry, at least it gives us an idea of his future intentions in his return to London. Remember that, after leaving royal duties in 2020, his first role was as an impact officer for a San Francisco startup that blends coaching and computing to boost employees’ mental fitness.
Since then he has focused mainly on his role as founder of the Invictus Games, an international sporting event for veterans and injured or ill service members. He has also published his controversial memoir and, through Archewell Productions, he and Meghan Markle manage content-creation contracts for streaming platforms like Netflix.
Harry and Meghan: Utmost Discretion
Beyond this day of work, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have stayed out of the media spotlight since their return to the United Kingdom, as they meticulously plan how their new life will unfold. Meghan Markle has been seen at Soho Farmhouse, a private members’ club in the Cotswolds, where the family is believed to have settled. According to British media, the former actress is calmly planning her return to public life together with charitable organizations she has supported in the past.

One of them could be Smart Works, which helps unemployed and vulnerable women to find work. Meghan began collaborating with this organization when she married Prince Harry in 2018, and she is the only one she has continued to support since the couple stopped performing royal duties. The couple will also focus on enrolling their children, Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, in school. And added to this is Prince Harry’s ongoing effort to ensure publicly funded security for him and his family, especially when they undertake public appearances.
The next scheduled appearance by the Duke of Sussex will take place at the WellChild Awards in London on September 8. His wife is not expected to accompany him to this year’s event, which marks the 20th anniversary of the awards. However, it seems that Harry will not attend the Diana Awards gala, which will be held in the British capital on September 18. His brother, Prince William, has not yet confirmed his attendance.
