Valdesoto has been chosen as Asturias’ Model Village 2025. The Kings of Spain have traveled there with their daughters, Infanta Sofía and Princess Leonor. The four have been greeting all attendees and also discovering some local customs.

During the visit, the Spanish royal family was not alone and, as happens at other events, they were accompanied by the Director of Communications of the Royal Household, Rosa Lerchundi and Marta Carazo, Queen Letizia’s secretary since last September.

Marta Carazo’s look with the safari jacket that makes a comeback every year

It seems that since Marta Carazo briefly broke with protocol on October 12, her outfits have become somewhat more sober and composed of timeless pieces. She demonstrated this at the Princesa de Asturias Awards with a mid-length dress in navy blue, incredibly elegant.

Now she has done it again with an all-black total look, complemented by one of the most timeless jackets in our wardrobe. We are talking about the safari jacket that everyone has bought at some point and that you may still have at home.

As we said, Marta Carazo opted for a khaki green safari jacket, slightly oversized and with front flap pockets. The garment, made from a structured cotton fabric, evoked the classic safari style with a contemporary, relaxed air. It is a choice very coherent with the rural setting and with the event’s profile: comfortable, functional, and with a touch of sophistication.

Below, Carazo wore an all-black total look, composed of a turtleneck sweater and straight-cut trousers slightly flared. The combination provides visual continuity and lengthens the silhouette, allowing the safari jacket to take center stage without competing with the rest of the ensemble. The contrast between green and black reinforces the sense of balance and sobriety.

For her feet, she opted for dark-colored sneakers with a light sole. A comfortable, yet elegant design that is perfect for outdoor days like this.

And the safari jacket is no ordinary garment. Its history goes back to mid-20th century, when Yves Saint Laurent elevated it from a utilitarian garment to a fashion icon. Since then, it has accompanied generations of women with very different styles, without losing its strength.

Its structure with pockets, belt, or clean lines combines femininity and practicality in equal measure, and explains why we have been turning to it for more than a decade each season. Versatile, elegant and with that timeless air that withstands fleeting fashion trends.

The result is a classic look, balanced and perfectly suited to the context. Marta Carazo proves that you do not need to resort to big trends to project style: it is enough to choose the right proportions, maintain a neutral palette, and take care of the details.

Her way of dressing reflects the philosophy she shares with Queen Letizia: a mindful, discreet fashion that is coherent with each occasion. Moreover, this jacket is also a wardrobe staple for Queen Letizia, having been worn on numerous trips, since it is a wardrobe staple.
