After visiting Spain last week, the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Mr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier, and his wife, the First Lady Mrs. Elke Büdenbende, are now in the United Kingdom with the British royal family. They were welcomed at the airport by the Princes of Wales, Kate and William, and later reunited with King Charles III and Camilla to begin a day full of activities.
But the best of the day was undoubtedly the gala dinner they hosted at Windsor Castle, with Christmas decorations included. And the star of the night was, once again, Kate Middleton, with an impressive look with meticulous details that left no one indifferent.
Kate Middleton’s Gala Look
The Princess of Wales wore a spectacular Jenny Packham dress in pastel blue. A design completely covered in crystals, cinched at the waist to enhance the silhouette, and with an asymmetric neckline that leaves one shoulder exposed, adding a modern and sophisticated touch.

One of the most striking features of the dress is the integrated cape, crafted in a airy semi-transparent fabric in the same blue shade, cascading from the shoulders to the floor. As for accessories, she wore nude-toned heels with crystal embellishments by Gianvito Rossi and a navy blue satin clutch by Anya Hindmarch.
For the occasion, Kate wore for the first time the Oriental Ruby Tiara of Queen Victoria I of England. The choice was a nod to her guests, since this tiara was designed in 1853 by Prince Albert, of German origin, for his wife. Made by the London jewelry house Garrard & Co, it is crafted in gold, opals and 2,600 diamonds. She completed the look with long diamond earrings.
The Other Two Day Looks
During the day, the Princess of Wales also nailed two elegant and very flattering looks. For the airport reception, she wore a Alexander McQueen coat, tailored in a royal blue shade, which slimmed the figure thanks to its waist-hugging design and a slightly A-line hem.

The coat features pronounced lapels, a front closure with covered buttons, pockets with flaps, and structured cuff details, giving it a refined military air. She paired it with suede boots by Gianvito Rossi in the same shade as the dress, and a Juliette Millinery cap-style headpiece, also in blue, with a structured bow adornment, very British in style, leather gloves, and jewelry once worn by Princess Diana: sapphire earrings and a brooch.

Under the coat, Kate wore a navy Burberry dress, midi-length with long sleeves, crafted from a structured fabric. The design features a round neckline, a defined waist, and a skirt with a slight flare, which flatters the silhouette without excessive decoration. The waist is accented by a slim belt in the same fabric, fastened with a gold-toned brooch at the center.
The great centerpiece of the look is the vintage five-strand pearl necklace by Susan Caplan, which pairs with the same sapphire earrings she wore in the previous look. In the beauty department, Kate wears her hair loose and straight, styled with a side part, and natural, flattering makeup with black eyeliner and nude lipstick.
