The Campoamor Theater in Oviedo has, once again, hosted the Princess of Asturias Awards ceremony. An event chaired by King Felipe and Queen Letizia, their daughters, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía, and Queen Sofia that is transforming the Asturian capital. An event that, this 2026, has awarded personalities such as footballer Leo Messi, the artist Patti Smith, or the astronaut Christina Koch.

Not only the awardees attend the event, but also their families and friends and prominent representatives of Spanish society. Athletes, journalists or artists attend what is one of the most anticipated award galas of each year. And these have been some of the guests at this new edition.

Paloma Rocasolano.

Paloma Rocasolano

The mother of Queen Letizia is one of the regular guests at the Princess of Asturias Awards. She attends every year as a proud grandmother, and there have been several times when she has expressed great emotion at Princess Leonor’s speech. For this occasion, she chose a blue-dominated look formed by a tweed dress and open-toe high heels.

Antonela Roccuzzo

Leo Messi’s partner did not hesitate to support the footballer, awarded the Princess of Asturias Award for Sports. Leaving all the spotlight to the player and staying in a secondary role, she appeared happy and proud.

Santiago Cazorla

The former footballer Santiago Cazorla, the most representative figure of football in Oviedo, did not want to miss the event. After taking part in an act with the awarded Leo Messi, he attended the gala with his partner Úrsula Santirso as a sign of support for the Argentine player, with whom he has shared the playing field on several occasions.

Teresa Perales

Teresa Perales, swimmer, former politician and Spanish writer, also recognized with the Princess of Asturias Award for Sports, has been one of the personalities from the sports world who attended the event. Dressed in black, she was invited for her brilliant professional career with 28 Paralympic medals.

Esther Koplowitz

The presence of the Koplowitz sisters, Esther and Alicia, is also one of the most frequent at the ceremony held at the Campoamor Theater. Esther, aristocrat, businesswoman and philanthropist, stood out with a total red look of the most elegant.

Nuria March

The businesswoman, communicator and former model added an elegant note to the event with a green tweed suit. Nuria completed the look with white pumps and a blouse with a bow to match, a styling trick very common in Queen Letizia’s style.

Juan Ramón Lucas

The Spanish journalist Juan Ramón Lucas attended the event with his partner, the model and businesswoman Sandra Ibarra. The couple shares various personal and charitable projects, highlighting their joint work with the Sandra Ibarra Foundation for cancer survival.

María Dueñas

The writer María Dueñas, who made her debut as a juror for the Princess of Asturias Award for Literature last year, has not missed the awards gala and did so in a gray suit with an XL flower on the lapel.

Gloria Lomana

The journalist Gloria Lomana was another representative from the world of communication. For the event, she chose a black dress with ruffle details and a striking pearl necklace.

Miguel Indurain

The cyclist Miguel Indurain returned to the Campoamor Theater after receiving the award in 1992. And he did so this time, accompanied by his daughter Ana.
