Eugenia Martínez de Irujo grew up surrounded by art. Inspired by this vital passion, she has developed her artistic facet through paintings characterized, above all, by color and liveliness.
Works with a mainly natural inspiration, with animals, flowers and Oriental motifs as protagonists that now become garments and accessories thanks to her capsule collection with Antik Batik. The Duchess of Montoro and the French label join forces to present garments and accessories with a boho vibe, essential for this season.
As the dress code of the MET Gala 2026 announced: Fashion is art. And indeed many brands blur the boundaries between fashion and art to give rise to designs that are special, full of color and with a totally unique personality. Now, Antik Batik presents FELICITÁ, in collaboration with the Duchess of Montoro. A further demonstration of the visual power of uniting these two worlds.
This is the first time that Eugenia and Gabriella Cortese, founder of Antik Batik, work together, but the connection between them was instant. “Creating this collection has been wonderful,” the duchess says. “Gabriella is incredible and we just have very similar tastes that we have been able to materialize in this collection,” she explains. “I have learned a lot from her,” she adds.

Regarding how this capsule began to take shape, the duchess tells us that her drawings were the starting point. “They have become embroideries, depicted on dresses and other garments that emerged,” she explains. The result forms a stylistic universe full of light and color that celebrates joy, spontaneity and femininity. “I identify a lot with that bohemian air and freedom it conveys,” notes Eugenia.
Composed of 22 different pieces — including vests, skirts, outfits, blouses, trousers and even bags —, the collection brings together a total of ten prints. All of them, inspired by Eugenia’s paintings. “I feel enormous happiness seeing my works in this capsule. Making it real, having met Gabrielle and her giving me the opportunity to create this collection has been a true dream,” she confesses.
About the women behind the FELICITÁ inspiration, Eugenia insists: “it is for every kind of woman”. “Antik Batik, with that chic touch that characterizes it, has always been very carefree, capable of adapting to all ages and women,” she says.
Craftsmanship
If she had to choose one piece from the capsule, Eugenia picks the floral dress. “I really like its tulle with transparency that, furthermore, highlights the color of all the hand-embroidered flowers it bears,” she notes. A design with workmanship behind it that stands out: “We must value the artisanal work behind them.”
Garments with Special Heritage
The vests are another fundamental piece in this collaboration. Of different styles, colors and with careful details, two of their designs are inspired by the iconic garment of her mother, the Duchess of Alba. One design in off-white and, the second, a bluish piece featuring yellow flowers.
Delicate Details
One of the designs most versatile is a two-piece set, top and skirt, available in white and black, with an applique that makes it even more special: bells hanging from each of the ruffles that make up the skirt.
“I like the play of mixing that can be done with all the pieces of the collection. They are combinable with other kinds of pieces so you don’t have to wear the whole set,” she explains. The collection is already available, in addition to Antik Batik’s website, at its pop-up at El Corte Inglés in Serrano.
