Dress Pants for Autumn: Comfortable, Practical, and Elegant

If there is a garment that defines contemporary elegance in full 2025, that is the tailored trousers. This autumn returns with more force than ever, as the perfect wildcard for any occasion. For several seasons, the tailoring has moved away from the professional sphere to take the stage in any setting. Now we see it with sneakers, ankle boots or even with heeled sandals to create versatile and distinct looks.

It is not for nothing. It manages to combine practicality and sophistication with a flawless silhouette that remains comfortable. In fact, during these months, designers have returned to reinterpret this type of trouser with more relaxed silhouettes, fluid fabrics and cuts that flatter all ages and body types. Now tailored trousers are worn with sharply pressed pleats, slightly high waists and wide legs that lengthen the leg and slim the silhouette.

In neutrals —such as gray, beige, or black— they are an eternal wardrobe staple; while in autumnal colors, such as burgundy or dark green, they add a touch of originality that remains wearable, timeless, and versatile.

The prettiest tailored trousers for autumn

Gray pleated trousers by Zadig & Voltaire, €295.

Pantalón gris de pinzas de Zadig & Voltaire, 295 euros. Classic, polished, and flattering; the gray pleated trouser is the definition of balance. It is a neutral tone that pairs with absolutely everything —from a white shirt to a vibrant-colored sweater— and it’s always a solid option.

Beige fluid trousers by Sandro, €185.50.

Pantalón beige fluido de Sandro, 185,50 euros. In soft fabrics and with drape, the beige trouser has become an autumn essential. Its lightness provides movement and a relaxed air that works whether you wear it to the office or out on the weekend.

Black straight trousers by Scalpers, €69.99.

Pantalón negro recto de Scalpers, 69,99 euros. Black never fails, and in tailoring form, even more so. A black tailored trouser with a straight cut is the definitive wildcard because it is elegant, discreet, and flattering. It allows infinite combinations and never goes out of fashion.

Burgundy trousers by Mango, €39.99.

Pantalón burdeos de Mango, 39,99 euros. The color of wine and elegance. Burgundy is the ideal alternative to move away from neutrals without losing formality. It flatters, adds warmth, and pairs wonderfully with cream, beige, or light gray tones. You’ll get a lot of use out of it.

Navy blue trousers by Parfois, €35.99.

Pantalón azul marino de Parfois, 35,99 euros. Subtle, modern, and with a lot of personality, navy blue has become one of autumn’s star tones. Personally, I love it when it’s mixed with browns, blacks, and whites, or with light touches of gold.

Pinstripe trousers by Massimo Dutti, €59.95.

Pantalón de raya diplomática de Massimo Dutti, 59,95 euros. This print has returned, and with it, a nod to the most classic tailoring. In navy blue or charcoal gray, it adds character and texture without losing sobriety. It works very well with a turtleneck sweater or a blazer, though you can also wear it with shirts or sweaters in vivid colors, to take a few years off.
