Who has sensitive skin (like me) knows that taking care of it can become a challenge. It reacts easily, reddens at the slightest change, and sometimes not even the gentlest formulas seem to work. After trying countless cleansers and feeling that they all left my skin tight or irritated, I understood that cleansing had to be the first step to strengthen the skin barrier. It was then, while speaking with a dermatologist from Farma Dorsch, that I found the key to completely change my routine.
She explained something that seems obvious, but that we rarely apply: sensitive skin doesn’t need more products, it needs the right ones. The right cleanser removes impurities, yes, but also hydrates and soothes at the same time, avoiding that feeling of dryness or itching afterwards. The texture, the pH and the ingredients are extremely important. One must opt for formulas with natural and gentle components, such as aloe vera or soothing extracts, that help cleanse deeply without altering the natural balance of the dermis.
Since then, my skin has changed completely. I notice it is more comfortable, less reactive and, above all, more balanced. Especially, because she recommended a particular cleanser that, besides being very pleasant to the touch, delivers everything it promises.
The Farma Dorsch Dermo-Cleanser Gel, my favorite
Dermo-Cleanser Gel de Farma Dorsch.
Now that I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks, I can say that this product redefines the concept of facial cleansing for sensitive skin. Its formula, with more than 99% natural ingredients, removes impurities, excess oil and makeup without altering the skin barrier or causing tightness. Instead of harsh agents, it uses gentle plant-based surfactants that respect the physiological pH, achieving a deep but delicate cleansing, ideal for those who need to maintain skin balance.
What sets it apart from all I’ve tried is its biofunctional approach that combines soothing aloe vera, zinc PCA sebum regulator and a Plant Epithelial Growth Factor (FCE), which helps stimulate skin regeneration, with a Natural Hydration Factor (FHN) that preserves essential hydration. This synergy cleanses and leaves the skin noticeably softer, fresher and visibly revitalized.
In addition, its lightweight gel texture is very pleasant. By not containing soap, sulfates, PEGs or alcohol, the Farma Dorsch Dermo-Cleanser Gel suits both combination or oily skins and drier, more reactive ones. It has it all
Other alternatives that I also like
Multiactive Serum Cleanser by U/1ST.
Multiactive Serum Cleanser by U/1ST. Its balm-like texture is light, it blends easily with the skin and dissolves impurities without harshness. Formulated with vitamin E, plant-derived squalane and inulin, it acts as a prebiotic care that reinforces the skin barrier, hydrates and regulates natural sebum production. The result is skin protected against pollution, photoaging and day-to-day aggressors, but also visibly healthier, with a subtle glow that requires no filters.
The Rice Wash by Tatcha.
The Rice Wash by Tatcha. This creamy cleanser cleanses and repairs. Its formula combines hyaluronic acid and red algae to provide hydration that is noticeable from the first application. While removing makeup, dirt and accumulated oil, it plumps the skin with water, helping to restore its softness and balance. The most interesting thing is its texture, as it is a cream with a neutral pH that, upon contact with water, turns into a rich and dense foam, but without the typical aggressiveness of foaming cleansers.
The key to its effectiveness lies in rice powders, a traditional Japanese ingredient known for its smoothing properties. These plant proteins soften the texture, boost radiance and leave the skin with a smooth, even finish, without drying. After a week of use, a visible change in the uniformity and brightness of the face is noticeable, appearing more hydrated and awake.
