Talking about the new fall/wall seasons autumn/winter 2025-2026 is talking about the seasons where British looks have more room. We all lean toward some of these garments that adorn any of our outfits, whether through the iconic Oxford shoes, with the plaid skirts we have seen in all the fashion capitals, or with the Argyle sweaters: the famous Argyle print.

Perhaps you didn’t know it had this name, but fashion encyclopedias have spoken of it since the 17th century, when the Scottish Highlands and the Argyll Campbell clan invented and made this print their own at that time. Several centuries later, the company Pringle of Scotland based its designs on it, giving it a touch of luxury after the First World War, and thanks to the Duke of Windsor, British high society (and the world of golf) had a very good fit.

Now, the Argyle print has become a true icon of the preppy aesthetic and remains one of the most popular prints, as we saw on runways such as Miu Miu or Khaite. The good news is that it is very versatile, it adapts to every basic capsule wardrobe piece and adds a bourgeois air that always looks good.
