And among them there could not be missing Beatrice Borromeo, in her return to the city where she spent her youth and where the spark with Pierre Casiraghi, her husband and father of their three children, began.
Global ambassador of Dior since 2021, the aristocrat shone in Milan in two ways. First she attended the grand opening of the House of Dior on Via Montenapoleone in Milan. The event marked the opening of the brand’s new flagship store. For the occasion, Beatrice Borromeo wore an elegant gray Dior dress with short sleeves.
If her sister-in-law Charlotte Casiraghi links her public appearances to Chanel, Borromeo is the indisputable muse of Dior. And she proved it again, emulating Carolyn Bessette during the inauguration of Milan Fashion Week. The daughter-in-law of Princess Caroline of Monaco was one of the standout guests at the Vogue World show held at the Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery.
The Italian opted for a classic ensemble from the Dior Cruise 2027 collection, designed by Jonathan Anderson. The look consisted of a white satin blouse and a black satin skirt. She completed the styling with the Petit Dîner bag in black calfskin and Rose high-heeled sandals in black satin, all from the French house.
Beatrice Borromeo and the Milanese Love
Milan is a very special city for the Dior ambassador. Pierre Casiraghi, the son of Princess Caroline of Monaco, and Beatrice Borromeo met there in May 2008 while both studying at Bocconi University, where she earned a degree in law and economics two years later. Their first connection was described as an “electric spark,” but their love story almost did not happen.

Although both belonged to high society, their romance began like that of any college couple. Beatrice had previously joked in interviews that she wanted to marry a mechanic, not a member of royalty. Pierre, who at the time was known for being a party-prince, fell madly in love with Beatrice in the blink of an eye. She initially did not yield to his romantic advances, but the royal’s persistence eventually paid off.
At that time, Beatrice rode a rusted motorcycle around Milan and stubbornly refused to let Pierre pay for her dinners. The couple kept a discreet relationship for seven years before he asked her to marry him with a pink diamond ring. Their wedding in 2015 was a grand event that unfolded in two stages. First a civil ceremony at the Prince’s Palace of Monaco and then a religious ceremony on the private Isola Bella, one of the stunning Borromean islands owned by Beatrice’s family in northern Italy.

More than a decade after their spectacular wedding, they remain one of the most famous, elegant, and discreet couples in European royalty. They have three children: Stefano (2017), Francesco (2018) and Bianca (2025). Currently, Beatrice is a well-known documentary filmmaker and writer, while Pierre is involved in maritime technology and environmentally friendly navigation projects.
