The fever of La bola negra continues and reaches Los Angeles. A few days after its United States premiere, Los Javis and part of the film’s cast continue their North American tour at the sixth Academy Museum Gala, where they have mingled with international stars such as Taylor Swift, the Kardashians, or Pamela Anderson.

The actors Miguel Bernardeau, Milo Quifes, Carlos González, or Guitarricadelafuente have wanted to involve their followers in this event through their social networks, where they shared some of the night’s most special moments. Their Instagram stories have been filled with snapshots where we could see them enjoying themselves alongside some of these celebrities, gifting us images that will remain memorable.

Thanks to social media we have witnessed crossovers as iconic as the actors’ family photo with Kim Kardashian, the closeness between Taylor Swift and Javier Ambrossi and Carlos González, or the friendly image of this same actor next to the iconic Pamela Anderson and Jessica Lange. The truth is that this gala has been nothing more than the first contact between the directors and actors of La bola negra with Los Angeles, as it will be the one chosen to represent Spain at the Oscars, which will be held on March 14 at the Dolby Theatre in this city.

In addition to the photos, we have also witnessed moments as special as Taylor Swift’s performance, which actors and directors enjoyed tremendously. The person responsible for sharing this moment with us was Milo Quifes, Carlos in the film, who a few days ago had already spoken about the singer in an interview with Yenesi. It was precisely this actress who confessed that what would excite her most about making it to the Oscars would be meeting her. At that time, they did not yet know what fate had in store for the film.

Returning to the Academy Museum gala, from the meeting between La bola negra and Taylor Swift we were able to see the photo with González and Ambrosso and a video of just a few seconds where one can see that Spaniards’ admiration for the Nashville star runs deep. The singer performs one of her most popular songs, Love Story, while Milo Quifes, Guitarricadelafuente and, especially, Javier Calvo, sing along and bounce to the rhythm of the iconic song.

The special bond between Taylor Swift and La bola negra

As Milo Quifes and Yenesi had already hinted, the paths of Taylor Swift and La bola negra seemed destined to cross even before they met at this gala. And Swift’s name is strongly tipped in the odds as a potential Oscar nomination in the Best Original Song category for I Kew It, I Knew You, composed for the credits of Toy Story 5.

Although we will have to wait to see who will compete for the prize, the same odds that point to Taylor Swift – for whom, by the way, this would be her first Oscar nomination – also look at Guitarricadelafuente. And not only as an actor, but also as a singer, since La nieve, the original song from La bola negra, could have many chances to compete in the same category.

La nieve is characterized by its intimate and melancholic sound, inspired by the last letter Federico García Lorca left before his death. For Guitarricadelafuente, composing this song meant a journey into the Lorca universe, the perfect complement to the preparation he undertook to portray Sebastián, his big-screen debut.

But the song is not the only thing that makes La bola negra attractive when thinking about possible Oscar nominations. Notably, the name Guitarricadelafuente sounds among the favorites to win the Best Supporting Actor award, as this first foray into acting by the singer is arousing passions among those who watch the film. If these predictions come true, Guitarricadelafuente could enter the same category as artists such as Lady Gaga or Barbra Streisand, who have found themselves in this situation before (though only the latter has won both awards in different years).
