The first thing that strikes when you visit Odette Álvarez’s ateliers is the serenity of the spaces. The décor in white and neutral tones, with carefully selected 20th-century design pieces, underscores a calm and luminous atmosphere. “It’s curious, but it’s very different from my creations, which combine bold color with very rich fabrics. It’s a contrast I need to create and that brings me peace,” says this self-taught woman.
It’s hard not to be fascinated by this boho-chic-inspired world with seventies-cut dresses and deco-inspired prints, a universe of contrasting colors where golds and silvers shine in a special way.
Odette Álvarez travels constantly between Madrid and Santander, where she was born. In both cities she maintains an atelier of Teté by Odette and Odette Álvarez, two brands made in Spain born in 2009 and based on local production and craftsmanship. Her second label, a couture line, has been shown at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid since 2021.

Aquí me aíslo y desconecto», explica.
