October 1, 2026

October arrives with a calendar full of new releases. The month will bring new works from artists such as Arde Bogotá, Anni B Sweet, Fontaines D.C. and Troye Sivan, as well as the eagerly awaited return of Lori Meyers, who will release her first album in five years. A selection of releases that blends established names with proposals aiming to carve a niche in the music scene.

But October won’t be defined solely by new albums. The live music scene will also play a leading role, with concerts by artists such as Jungle, Guitarricadelafuente, Dani Fernández and Fontaines D.C. Joining these dates is the return of the Posidonia festival to Formentera, which celebrates its tenth anniversary with a proposal that combines music, gastronomy, and nature.

Discos

If there is something noteworthy about October, it is the amount of new albums we will have to enjoy, starting with Arde Bogotá, who release on October 2 Manufacturas del Club de la Gente Sola. The Murcian band returns with their third studio album, a work that opens a new chapter in their career after the success of Cowboys de la A3. The release is accompanied by a tour in which the band opts for a different format, with the stage placed in the center of the room and the audience surrounding it, to offer a closer experience.

The international pop scene will also have one of its major releases of the month with Troye Sivan, who on October 9 will release She’s the Best. The Australian singer returns with a new work after Something to Give Each Other (2023), the album that included songs such as Rush and One of Your Girls and that cemented his place in the electronic pop scene. His new record arrives at a moment of artistic maturity for the singer, who has been characterized by blending danceable music with lyrics that explore relationships and identity.

In the national scene, Anni B Sweet is also preparing her return with Alegría, which will see the light on October 16. The Málaga-born singer, who has spent years exploring different registers within indie pop, returns with an album that broadens a career defined by the sensitivity of her compositions and her musical evolution.

That same day, one of the most anticipated albums for followers of alternative rock will arrive: Fontaines D.C will publish Dopamine Chamber, a new work with which the Irish band continues to push the boundaries of their sound, and which features a highly anticipated collaboration: Rosalía. After Romance (2024), the group returns to the discography with an album that coincides with their return to Spanish stages, where they will perform two concerts during October.

Also on October 16, Lori Meyers will return with Disonancia, their first studio album in five years. The Granada-based band, one of the references of Spanish indie, returns with a ten-track work that marks a new phase after Espacios infinitos (2021). Their comeback is one of the highlights for fans of the genre, who will be able to hear the band’s new compositions live.

October will also be an important month for Gara Durán and Maitequiero, who present their first records. The former will release on October 16 GARA, her debut album, a release especially meaningful for the artist, who has already shared the album cover and opened its pre-sale. For her part, Maitequiero will debut on October 1 Un Ángel Y Yo, her first EP, with which she takes a new step in her musical career.

The month’s lineup of new releases is completed by Michael Kiwanuka, who on October 23 will release FUDGE. The British musician, known for his distinctive blend of soul, folk and rock, returns with a new album after Small Changes (2024). His career, marked by a constant search for sounds and by a distinctive voice, has made him one of the most recognizable artists of contemporary soul.

Conciertos y festivales

Guitarricadelafuente, who is living one of his best professional moments, will be among those in charge of opening the month’s calendar of major live shows with his October 2 concert at the Movistar Arena in Madrid. The artist continues touring with Spanish Leather, his latest album, on a tour in which he has brought his distinctive blend of tradition and contemporary sounds to various stages.

Another of the month’s prominent names is Dani Fernández, who will return to Madrid with several dates at the Movistar Arena. The singer will perform on October 9, 16, 17 and 23, in a series of concerts that are part of his current tour and in which he will revisit the best-known songs from his repertoire along with his latest releases.

The international music will also play a leading role with Fontaines D.C., who will visit Spain in October to present their new album, Dopamine Chamber. The Irish band will perform on October 22 at the Movistar Arena in Madrid and on October 24 at the Sant Jordi Club in Barcelona. Two dates that will allow audiences to hear live the new songs from one of the most prominent bands in contemporary alternative rock.

The schedule will continue on October 26 with Jungle, who will bring their characteristic funk, soul and electronic music sound to the Movistar Arena in Madrid. The British group, known for their danceable rhythms and elaborate stage productions, thus returns to Spain with a live show that combines music and visual spectacle. There will also be room for national talent with Ona Mafalda, who will perform on October 22 at Sala Clamores in Madrid, and Carlangas, who on the 30th will bring his new album to La Riviera, also in the capital.

In the festival section, one of the most unique events will be the SON Estrella Galicia Posidonia, which will celebrate its tenth anniversary from October 2 to 4 in Formentera. True to its philosophy, the festival will maintain its characteristic intimate format, with only 350 attendees and a secret lineup that will be revealed during the event. The proposal combines live music with local gastronomy, cultural activities, and experiences related to the island’s natural environment. For this special edition, the organizers will bring back some of the artists who have passed through its stages over the last decade, in addition to incorporating new proposals.
