Three Fall Trends Exiting and Entering, According to a Stylist: “It Was Obvious It Would Be a Passing Fad”

Autumn is just around the corner, we have already started the real routine and although there are still warm days left, it is true that it is important to start prepping the fall/wallter wardrobe. If you don’t know where to begin, you can check out some of the trends that will be at the forefront in the coming months.

This has been confirmed by Juan Avellaneda through his Instagram profile. The designer and stylist has shared a video in which he explains which three trends enter this new season and which three disappear in their place. A small guide to ensure your autumn looks are on point.

Adiós al estampado de vaca, hola al de cebra

“Last year we got really into cow print and, truth be told, we saw it everywhere. It had its charm, but it’s true that it was going to be a somewhat fleeting trend,” explains the designer. So for this year he proposes a similar option, ”but for me zebra print has a bit more edge.“

“Because I really get the sense that it’s a super chic print that fits with many looks,” Avellaneda assures. It can be worn on a jacket, on a skirt or even, if you’re not that daring, with a bag or another similar accessory.

Adiós al amarillo mantequilla, hola al azul con el rojo

The designer explains that although someone has tried to keep butter-yellow in winter as well, it is extremely difficult for winter. “We’ve seen it on celebrities or influencers because it’s true that photos are manipulated, but in reality, on the street, we haven’t seen it that much, except in summer, obviously,” he notes.

Wearing butter-yellow in winter, unless it’s in accessories or a small detail, is limiting; that’s why we’re going to see something that’s coming on quite strong and that Victoria Beckham already did many years ago: pairing red and blue. “For me, personally, it’s a combination I love and I also find super chic, but with a little extra edge. And for all of you who don’t dare, you can swap red for burgundy, which looks great,” he details.

Pañuelo de Levi’s (25 euros).

Adiós a los pillbox, hola a los pañuelos

Regarding accessories, it’s time to say goodbye to the famous pillbox or any winter hat. “It’s true we’ve seen them a lot in trends, but on the street it was a bit rarer to spot,” comments the stylist. In their place, he suggests swapping them for headscarves tied on the head.

“It isn’t a hat and, moreover, it’s much easier because you can wear it a bit like a bandana. In fact, as you can see, it looks ideal. Even with a cap it looks very good, and the star print will be this bandana style. Of course they can be of any print, but this one comes quite strong. Then there are others you can also use around the neck like a cowboy bandana, which looks mega chic and mega on-trend.”
