Social causes are an essential part of Queen Letizia’s agenda. Rare diseases, mental health, education in childhood, or cancer research are among the topics she is most involved with. Following the work of Queen Sofía and using her strong gift of oratory, Doña Letizia does not hesitate to give a voice to those who need it most, and her latest meeting at the Zarzuela Palace has been proof of this.
After meeting yesterday with the President of the Republic of Senegal, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, the consort queen has shifted tone and has held an encounter with the Royal Patronage on Disability. Once again, she has leveraged her prominent presence in the royal household’s communications work and shown interest in the organization’s new initiatives.
Its objective is to protect the rights of people with disabilities to ensure their social inclusion. A representative of the Patronato explained to Doña Letizia the new directions in which they are working to improve the quality of life for those who have this condition.
The development of studies and research to better understand the situation of disability; the development of projects so that people with disabilities have more and better educational and professional opportunities, as well as programs to make society more accessible and have fewer barriers. These are the measures that have interested Queen Letizia in what has been her last act of the week.

For this occasion, Doña Letizia opted for simplicity with a formula that is, without a doubt, a guaranteed success. And, although she chose garments we have seen her wear on prior occasions, her choice surprised by setting aside the blazer suit she has been wearing so much in recent months.
A repeated jacket that flatters
She did it with a Boss jacket she pulled from her closet, confirming that it is one of the best options for the in-between season. It is a bluish-gray model made from a viscose-elastic blend fabric with an elegant bouclé finish.

It features a tailored fit that flatters greatly and enhances the hourglass silhouette, and she has styled it as on other occasions: with black suit trousers. A look completed with comfortable shoes and what is already her preferred accessory: a slim headband to keep the face clear.
Moreover, on this occasion she preferred to wear it closed, with its front zipper, unlike other times when she wore it open revealing a basic dark T-shirt. Doña Letizia has thus adapted to the milder temperatures in the capital and has once again made clear that minimalism will continue to be the protagonist of her outfits.
Today, Thursday, the monarch closes her schedule with a break for the Easter holidays. And although since 2019 the royal family broke with the family tradition of traveling to Palma, to the Marivent Palace, the truth is that during these days they usually make some private plans. Now, they prefer to appear publicly with an improvised outing visiting a town or attending a procession.
