If there is one thing I always keep in mind when putting together a good look, it’s comfort, which is why when it comes to footwear ballet flats always top my list of favorite shoes as soon as the warm weather arrives.

While heels remain my favorite option for more formal events, I have to admit that for day-to-day wear there is nothing like a flat shoe that is comfortable and special. And ballet flats meet those characteristics, in addition to adding a romantic touch to any look.

Classic, mule-style, with a square toe, in pastel colors… the range of ballet flats available is endless. The best part? Their versatility. They look phenomenal with more casual pieces like jeans, but also accompany a dress or a satin skirt.

The Best Ballet Flats of the Season

Since they came back into fashion a few seasons ago, ballet flats have flooded the windows of all my favorite stores, and as spring arrives I take the opportunity to select the prettiest and most comfortable models.

In Pretty Ballerinas we have the perfect design to add a pop of color to our look. It is the Nicole model, which stands out for its elegant almond-shaped toe and its padded leather insole, achieving the perfect balance between sophistication and comfort throughout the day. This version comes in padded red napa with a red-napa toe, rubber sole, leather insole and fabric lining (€199.00).

If you’re looking for black ballet flats but with a different twist, these Zara leather ones will charm you. They feature a rounded toe and a mule-style design (backless), leaving the heel exposed. A wide elastic strap across the top of the instep provides support and a contemporary touch (€35.95).

A staple you’ll wear now and also in the summer, these braided flats from H&M. They feature a slightly pointed toe and a V-shaped neckline, which visually elongates the instep. The interior is smooth in a light brown color, creating a warm contrast with the exterior. Their style blends comfort and sophistication, ideal for both casual looks and dressier ones (€24.99).

If I have to pick my favorite ballet flats of the season, these from Ulanka are it. A brown design with a tabi toe, made from leather, with a padded insole that provides maximum comfort and a rubber sole. For the more daring, they elevate any basic look instantly (€59.95).

Finally, at Parfois these leather flats with fur and a zebra animal print, which is trending this season. They feature a padded insole with visible stitching, an almond-shaped toe, back pull tabs and a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) sole (€25.99).
