This is the case of this design that a few days ago went viral on social media for being one of those wedding outfits that unite craftsmanship, fashion, trends, and exquisite taste that does not go unnoticed.
A look that is the perfect result of the strong connection between the creator and the bride and that is filled with ideas to draw inspiration from if you are not entirely sure what to wear on your wedding day.
In recent weeks, wedding dresses of many different styles have made headlines, such as the strapless design worn by Susanna Griso for her second wedding or the fitted and very simple design chosen by Rocío Crusset for her Ibiza wedding. We have even recalled that look chosen by Diana, Princess of Wales, for her wedding to Prince Charles, which now marks its 45th anniversary.
But sometimes inspiration is better found in anonymous faces, in everyday girls with a very special taste and sense of elegance, and in designers with consolidated experience.
This is what happened with this wedding dress we want to talk to you about today, the work of Eder Aurre, the Basque designer known for his work on the New Year’s Eve broadcasts on Basque television. This young designer is the creator of the dresses that presenters wear on the last night of the year, and in addition to achieving success with spectacular gala designs perfect for New Year’s Eve, he is also a very good ally of brides, godmothers and guests who entrust themselves to his hands.
And the best example is this dress that he created for Patricia and that is completely handmade. As he explains, it features more than 250 strips of frayed silk Panama and another 250 strips of silk bambula worked one by one to construct an exclusive corset.
And this bride arrived at Eder Aurre’s atelier with a very clear idea: she wanted a faux corset with a very special texture and a dress with a rustic essence. With a reference image and after several fittings, the designer and the rest of the team behind this label managed to develop a dress that, without a doubt, is already one of the favorites of recent months.
With a very thin strap and a skirt of silk bambula layers, this creation stood out particularly for featuring embroidered flowers at hip height, accompanied by crystals in white and ochre tones. A detail that made the difference and that was perfectly complemented by a rustic organza veil that brought that wild vibe that Patricia had requested and that romantic air she had always dreamed of.
In addition, this look was characterized by those kinds of details that transform a piece into something unreproducible. And Patricia accompanied it with a choker made from a strip of the same fabric as the dress and topped with a family jewel.
Patricia said “I do” with this design and with cape-style sleeves, wide and with a lot of movement, which could not flatter her more. “There are brides who trust, who enjoy the process and who let us create without limits. Patricia was one of them. And that trust gave rise to a deeply artisanal piece, which evolved and won us over at every fitting,” says Eder about this look.
