September Essentials for an Elegant Woman with Classic Style

My friends know that my style moves away from urban trends. I don’t feel comfortable with athleisure stimuli in my clothes and anything that isn’t ‘timeless’ makes me feel masked. Fashion has that blessing, the plurality of styles, and since a few years ago the «less is more» entered my life, the basics that have a place in my wardrobe are elegant and aligned with discreet luxury.

I really enjoy the essence of classics such as Audrey Hepburn, Meghan Markle, Grace Kelly or Kate Middleton. Of course I knew Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy before her character became famous in Love Story and influencers like Claire Rose, Cass Dimicco and Emilie Lindmark are always on my radar. I like to talk about old money and garments that do not lose relevance as the years pass (even though now it seems they are living their best moment).

So no, you probably won’t associate me with sweatpants with lace trim, but I can assure you that the pieces that replace them are an investment, they look good regardless of your age or body type, and they adapt to any context, from the most casual to the most elegant.

In my ranking: the most elegant basics

Polo with black piping from H&M, 19.99 euros.

Polo with black piping from H&M, 19.99 euros. Trust me: it will become one of your favorite pieces in your wardrobe when you don’t know what to wear. Whether you pair it with jeans, a short skirt, or a tailored piece, the look will always be a ten.

Sézane leather set: skirt 330 euros and jacket 295 euros.

Sézane leather set: skirt 330 euros and jacket 295 euros. It was love at first sight when I saw it. Is it an investment? Yes, but it’s one of those looks you’ll keep wearing over the years and you’ll always look just as elegant and flattering.

Top negro from Hannibal Laguna Collection, 39 euros.

Top negro from Hannibal Laguna Collection, 39 euros. It is very flattering and perfect to wear with jeans or with a tailored piece. Also, being black, it will never go out of fashion.

Pantalón negro de Roberto Verino, 88 euros.

Pantalón negro de Roberto Verino, 88 euros. Every year I turn to them, so it’s no coincidence that I bring them back as one of my essentials, and trust me when I say that the secret is how they fit. You won’t look the same in others.

Simorra strapless dress, 428 euros.

Simorra strapless dress, 428 euros. I think it’s one of the prettiest and most minimalist dresses I’ve ever seen. It’s simple, but that’s its charm—its ability to elevate or accompany its discreet result. You’ll slay wherever you go.

Massimo Dutti leather skirt, 249 euros.

Falda de piel de Massimo Dutti, 249 euros. It’s one of those skirts that will accompany you for life and don’t need much more to slay, just a white shirt or tee and voilà, a ten look. You’ll get more use out of it than you imagine.
