Queen Letizia returns home, and that is always noticeable. After becoming one of the main protagonists of the Princesa de Asturias Awards 2025 thanks to her spectacular black dress with sheer panels signed by Sybilla, the monarch has once again shifted gears to attend one of the most emotional events on her schedule: the Award to the Exemplary Town of Asturias.

In this edition, the prize has fallen to Valdesoto, a parish in the municipality of Siero that takes over from Sotres, the town awarded in 2024. A locality that perfectly embodies the spirit of the recognition: the defense of the natural environment, the preservation of heritage and the commitment of its residents to community life.

Letizia’s look in Valdesoto: track-sole shoes and faithful to navy blue

The history of the Exemplary Town of Asturias dates back to 1990, coinciding with the tenth anniversary of the Princess of Asturias Foundation. Since then, this distinction has sought to recognize those communities that stand out for their collective effort and their contribution to preserving the region’s cultural and environmental roots.

It is also one of the most special days for Queen Letizia, who has always shown a deep bond with her homeland. In this event she appears more relaxed, approachable, and smiling, in direct contact with neighbors, in an atmosphere very different from the Teatro Campoamor gala.

For the occasion, Queen Letizia has chosen a look full of basics. To this end, the monarch selected dark blue, slightly fluid jeans that help elongate the silhouette. To maintain this comfortable yet elegant look, she added a short navy blue jacket.

It is clear that blue is one of Queen Letizia’s favorite staple colors, where she feels very comfortable both at gala events and in more informal settings. She demonstrated this again during her visit to Valdesoto with an impeccable navy look.

That said, it is clear that Queen Letizia likes to stay on top of trends, and that is why that fashion touch was not missing from her look. For this, she turned to the designer who has become her trusted shoemaker for months. We are talking about Pedro García.

During the summer we could see the sovereign wearing several sandals from the brand, and it seems that on this occasion she has again turned to the brand with a shoe from the new collection. Specifically, they are track-sole shoes; one of the designs Queen Letizia uses most when she is on the go.

These shoes have become Queen Letizia’s most coveted recently. This new collection design is a camel-colored suede model and already available on the brand’s website for 450 euros.

As for Queen Letizia’s beauty look, on this occasion she opted for a more natural look and a simple straight hair. A hairstyle different from the one seen at the Princesa de Asturias Awards with a high ponytail and a polished finish.
