How I Restore My Hair Shine Before Returning to the Office

I’ve always had a complicated relationship with split ends and dull hair. Not because I aspire to a perfect mane, but because I believe hair speaks volumes about how we look and how we feel. When it’s dry, dull, or lacking movement, the whole look seems less cared for. By contrast, a radiant, smooth, healthy-looking mane is pleasing even at a glance.

However, that shine doesn’t come overnight. After summer, my hair usually needs a little tune‑up to recover from sun, chlorine, salt, and improvised updos. Therefore, before returning to the office, I try to dedicate a few weeks to deeply hydrate it and restore some of the softness it loses during vacation.

Over time I also have learned that shine doesn’t depend solely on the ends. The condition of the hair fiber, hydration, and even scalp care influence much more than we think. That’s why I no longer rely on using just one product, but try to combine nourishing treatments with formulas that help improve the overall look of the mane.

The final step is to enhance that polished finish I love so much when routine returns. I’m not seeking perfect hair or a permanent salon-like effect, but to recover that sensation of a healthy, flexible, and luminous mane. In the end, just as I tweak a few steps of my skincare routine after summer, I also like to give my hair a bit more attention before the office days begin.
