Facial Hair Removal: How to Remove It Without Razors, Waxing, or Other Irritating Methods

In the world of hair removal, it is quite common for problems and inconveniences to appear after removing hair. Many people experience irritation, the appearance of small pimples, or weakened and sensitized skin after using tools such as blades or waxing strips.

That is why the moment of depilating can be a problem for many, especially when it comes to facial hair. This growth not only follows a natural pattern, but also depends largely on hormones. This means that, over the years, it can appear even if it wasn’t present from birth.

If, for example, you have tried to remove the hair from your upper lip and the result has been a reddening or rather unpleasant skin eruptions, you’ll know that sporting a face without that hair can become a tricky task and that, in many cases, you might even prefer to leave it be. It is then when the remedy ends up being worse than the disease, since traditional hair removal methods are not suitable for everyone.

Waxing represents a significant aggression for this area of the face, especially sensitive. In addition, it is not usually recommended due to the pulls it entails, as they can promote sagging of the skin around the lip over time. After trying countless options, I have found the perfect formula to get rid of this type of hair without suffering the consequences of irritated skin, with pimples and even persistent redness.

To start, I have found in facial epilators or shaving razors the best ally to avoid the aggressive shaving caused by traditional blades. These small machines offer a very close shave in a much softer way, without altering the skin barrier.

FaceCare Smooth by Cecotec, stainless steel facial depilator (16.90 euros).

And although this could be enough, its use would have to be much more frequent than usual, since the hair is not removed from the root and grows back after a few days, just like any other type of shaving. Therefore, I have incorporated into my beauty routine a pulsed-light depilator, with which I am progressively eliminating facial hair.

And not only to reduce its amount, but also to gradually weaken it, making it much less visible and much easier to control. These two tools form the perfect combination to treat facial hair without suffering negative consequences, and these are some of the options we like the most.
