Once again, the most interesting aspect of the New York Fashion Week has not only been on the runways and among the proposals from the world’s leading designers, but also off them. Street style and the front row of every show become a full stylistic inspiration and a parade of familiar faces who wear outfits that quickly become the highlights of the week and even of the month.
An example of this has been the latest Carolina Herrera show. The Venezuelan designer has returned to the calendar and has done so with the help of her entire family. Under the creative direction of Wes Gordon, the label presented its autumn-winter 2026-2027 collection and the founder did not want to miss the show alongside her daughters, Carolina Adriana and Patricia Cristina, and some of her grandchildren, among whom was, of course, Olimpia Báez.

The eldest daughter of Carolina Adriana has already been a standout figure at last year’s show and in 2026 she has returned to the front row, becoming a celebrity to keep an eye on. It seems the young woman has received direct influences from both her mother and her grandmother and her taste for fashion is more than evident, not only from attending these events but also from the outfits chosen for the occasion.
At just 20 years old, she has been one of the guests who has most stylishly marked her presence against familiar faces such as Olivia Palermo, Hiba Abouk or even the Spanish singer Lola Indigo. And, for the occasion, she chose, as one would expect, red, one of the brand’s most meaningful colors founded by her grandmother.

She opted, in particular, for a long fitted dress, characterized by a front button closure and a waist drape that hugged the figure. With a lapel neck and short sleeves, it was a floor-length design, to which she added shoes in the same color.
These were backless high-heeled satin pumps, made of satin fabric in a bold red that confirms it is one of the season’s most flattering colors. A look that stole all the spotlight from her grandmother.

However, what drew the most attention was the jacket she chose. And indeed, far from pairing this color with black, beige, white or gray — very common formulas — Olimpia dared and showed that red also looks wonderful with brown chocolate.
As you may know, this shade is one of the season’s favorite trends: it is worn a lot for both daily wear and special occasions, and the young woman confirmed that it has many more possibilities than it seems. In this way, she completed her look with a long suede trench coat, a piece that reinterprets this classic mid-season jacket design into a sophisticated version that we loved.
