Over the years I have learned that less is more. However, some of the most undervalued products in the skincare world strike me as the best. One of the most evident is the use of toners or essences. The vast majority think they are dispensable, but they are the main ones responsible for keeping your skin clean and your skin barrier strong.
Therefore, I wouldn’t leave them out. Moreover, their wide range is quite extensive and you will find everything from those formulated to provide comfort, calm and strengthen the pH, to others whose job is to balance, control oil, and ensure a strong hydrolipidic barrier. The best part is that no matter your skin type or age, you can always benefit from them.
On the other hand, they are quite versatile when it comes to including them in any routine. They go after the cleanser and before the eye contour or the serum, and thanks to their new formulation, you can apply it directly to the face. With continued use the change becomes noticeable (and much more than you think).
