Best Elegant Clogs to Wear in September

Since Chemena Kamali debuted at Chloé and helped popularize boho chic, something has changed in my wardrobe. There is a carefree romance that plays through sheer fabrics, ruffled dresses, and the clogs. A few years ago I never thought these shoes would convince me, but now they are part of my wish list.

Makes sense. After several seasons in which ballet flats, loafers and retro sneakers have dominated street style, these shoes slip into the obsessions of the most forward fashion icons because they provide a different touch. Best of all, they are incredibly comfortable, pay homage to the essence of the 70s, and are very wearable and easy to pair.

Moreover, their wide range of options is very varied. You’ll find from the classics adored by lovers of less is more (and the Danes who don’t complicate things) to other models that experiment with all kinds of colors, fabrics and embellishments, such as studs. Either way, they are a perfect investment for transitional seasons.

In my ranking: six elegant clogs

Birkenstock chocolate brown mules, 126 euros.

Massimo Dutti aged-effect clogs, 89.95 euros.

Golden Goose buckle clogs, 420 euros.

Black mules from &Other Stories, 99 euros.

Black & Other Stories mules, 99 euros. My friend María bought a pair like these last year and wore them almost daily. They were very comfortable, easy to put on and take off, and she integrated them into her wardrobe almost with her eyes closed.

Ancient Greek Sandals classic clogs, 256 euros.

Jonak platform clogs, 80.50 euros.
