Even before the journey, each group works with a guest experience curator, a figure created specifically for this project. With him, practically everything is decided: from the itinerary to the excursions, the gastronomic preferences, the selection of wines, or the type of entertainment that will take place during the journey.
The three-course menu allows guests to pre-select from several options for each course. Reinterpreted British classics appear, such as beef Wellington or chicken liver parfait, prepared by the culinary team of the British Pullman.
The liquid menu also plays on another level. The cocktails have been developed by Monica Berg, cofounder of Tayer + Elementary, commonly regarded as one of the world’s best bars. The welcome English Punch is exclusive to Celia and cannot be ordered in any other space on the train. Whoever wishes can even pre-stock the private bar with their own favorite selections.
Meanwhile, the English landscape glides past the windows at a pace difficult to find in other modes of transport. That remains one of the great virtues of luxury rail travel: turning the journey into the true destination.
