Hair Expert’s Trick to Prevent Dry, Split Ends – It’s Working

I just had a haircut, I devote a lot of time to taking care of my hair, and the result is a healthy, beautiful mane free from the usual problems such as dryness or split ends. Does this mean I should relax and do without what many experts consider essential products? The answer is no.

That’s what a trichologist confirmed to me a few months ago. She analyzed the cuticle of my hair and, although it was in perfect condition, she told me that hair oil would be my best ally, but not as a one-off, but as a continuous habit.

I mentioned that, in my experience, it was common to end up with the ends of the hair much drier and even have split ends. And that, despite the usual care using masks, conditioners and finishing products, over time that effect of thick ends right after a fresh haircut would disappear and begin to look much finer, drier and deteriorated.

What was her advice? She told me to always carry a hair oil with me. She recommended turning to one of those mini sizes that you can easily carry in your bag and to adopt applying it to the ends as a spontaneous step in my day-to-day routine. She compared it to that hand cream you apply daily and that you can carry with you, or the lip balm you touch up at different moments.

She also told me that it was important to use a good hair oil daily and not only after washing, as I did. Just like any skincare routine, she said it could be another step in my skincare regimen. When I finished cleansing my face and applying serums and moisturizers that I considered, I could also add a few drops of hair oil to the ends.

In this way I would maintain constant hydration and avoid the dreaded split ends that appear over time. These are my favorite hair oils in mini-size format.
