Best Bermuda Shorts of 2026: Comfortable and Flattering

If a few years ago the bermuda shorts seemed a garment reserved only for school uniforms or the most classic looks, in 2026 they have become one of the most elegant pieces of summer. Their origin is, at least, curious. They were born in the Bermuda Islands as a fresher alternative to long pants, and with the passage of time they slipped into the women’s wardrobe and now we cannot live without them.

Today they are synonymous with quiet luxury. We have seen them with clean lines, wide patterns that flatter, and flowing fabrics. Moreover, thanks to brands like Ralph Lauren, Saint Laurent, Max Mara or Totême, among others, they reflect (and very well) the essence of the Mediterranean summer. Note that their sporty or casual image remains current. And although the newer versions are inspired by suit trousers, they can also be found in materials like denim and with appliqués or colors that take years off and fit a vision closer to aesthetics such as the Y2K.

N

o obstáculo, the important thing is that, when pairing them, they are among the most versatile. You can wear them with shirts and blouses, but also with tank tops or printed T-shirts. A tip to look more flattering? Balance the proportions well. Choose high-waisted models and pair them with pointed-toe shoes. They may seem insignificant details, but the difference is noticeable (and a lot).
